Colorectal Cancer CRC

Colon cancer is the growth of abnormal cells in the colon, the longest part of the large intestine, which is part of the digestive system. It usually affects older adults but can occur at any age. Colon cancer often starts as non-cancerous polyps that can develop into cancer over time. Since polyps rarely cause symptoms, regular screenings are recommended to detect and remove them before they turn cancerous. Colon cancer is sometimes referred to as colorectal cancer, which includes both colon and rectal cancers.
