Voquezna® (vonoprazan)
for Gastroesophageal reflux disease
Voquezna (vonoprazan) is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (PCAB) that reduces stomach acid production. It is used in adults to treat and maintain healing of erosive esophagitis, relieve heartburn associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and treat Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infections when combined with antibiotics. Voquezna inhibits the potassium-dependent component of the acid-proton pump without requiring acid activation.
