Vyvgart® (efgartigimod alfa-fcab)
for Myasthenia Gravis
Vyvgart (efgartigimod alfa-fcab) is used to treat generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) in adults who are anti-AChR antibody-positive. It works by blocking the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), which binds and extends the lifespan of IgG antibodies, including harmful ones. By occupying FcRn receptors, Vyvgart helps remove more IgG antibodies from the body, including those that contribute to gMG and other conditions like CIDP, thus improving symptoms and reducing disease progression.
