Vascepa® (icosapent ethyl)

Vascepa (icosapent ethyl) works in the liver and bloodstream to reduce very low-density triglycerides. It is used with other medications, like statins, to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, and heart-related issues requiring hospitalization in adults. Vascepa is also used alongside a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet to reduce triglycerides in adults with severely high levels. It decreases certain fats produced by the liver and reduces fats in the blood vessels.
