Spritam® (levetiracetam)
for Seizures (including Epilepsy)

Spritam (levetiracetam) is a prescription medicine used to treat partial-onset seizures in individuals aged 4 and older, weighing more than 20 kg (44 pounds). It is also used with other medications to treat myoclonic seizures in people aged 12+ with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in those aged 6+ with certain types of generalized epilepsy. Levetiracetam binds to the SV2A protein in the brain, helping reduce excessive brain activity and prevent seizures.
