Bivigam (Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human), 10% Liquid) is administered via intravenous infusion to treat adults and children aged 2 and older with primary humoral immunodeficiency, a condition where the immune system does not function properly. It replaces missing immune globulin in individuals with defects in B lymphocytes, which impair antibody production and increase infection risk. While the exact mechanism is not fully understood, Bivigam helps boost the immune response to reduce infections.
