Ofev® (nintedanib capsules)
for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
Ofev (nintedanib) is used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), interstitial lung disease with worsening fibrosis, and systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD) to slow lung function decline. Taken twice daily, Ofev helps reduce scar tissue buildup in the lungs, which makes breathing difficult. Its mechanism involves inhibiting receptor and non-receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs and nRTKs), which play a role in fibrotic tissue remodeling, thus slowing disease progression.
