Acromegaly

Acromegaly is a rare adult condition caused by excessive growth hormone produced by the pituitary gland, typically due to a non-cancerous tumor. This leads to gradual enlargement of bones, particularly in the hands, feet, and face, without affecting height. The symptoms develop slowly over years, making it hard to diagnose early. If left untreated, acromegaly can cause serious health complications.
