Alzheimer’s Disease

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia, characterized by the buildup of amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles in the brain, which leads to brain cell death and brain shrinkage. Early symptoms include memory loss and as the disease progresses, it severely impacts the ability to perform everyday tasks. In advanced stages, complications like dehydration, poor nutrition, and infection may occur, potentially leading to death.
