Cholangiocarcinoma, or bile duct cancer, is a cancer that forms in the bile ducts, which carry bile from the liver to the gallbladder and small intestine. It mostly affects people over 50 but can occur at any age. Cholangiocarcinoma is often diagnosed at an advanced stage, which makes treatment challenging.
