Growth hormone deficiency (GHD), also known as pituitary dwarfism, is a rare condition where the pituitary gland doesn’t produce enough growth hormone (GH). This can affect infants, children, and adults. In children, GHD leads to short stature with normal body proportions. People with GHD may have hypopituitarism, meaning they could have deficiencies in other pituitary hormones as well.
