Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Some women experience heavy menstrual bleeding or bleeding that lasts longer than a few days, a condition formerly known as menorrhagia. It is defined as bleeding lasting longer than seven days and being more intense than usual menstruation. Heavy menstrual bleeding is common. Heavy bleeding, along with cramping, can make daily activities more difficult.
