Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

Pulmonary fibrosis is a lung disease where lung tissue becomes damaged and scarred, leading to thickened and stiff tissue that makes it harder to breathe. As the disease progresses, breathing becomes increasingly difficult, especially during routine activities. The severity of pulmonary fibrosis varies, with some individuals remaining stable for a long time, while others experience rapid worsening of symptoms. The cause of the disease is often unknown, referred to as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and it typically affects middle-aged and older adults.
