Multiple Sclerosis MS

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease where the immune system attacks the protective covering of nerve fibers, known as myelin, in the brain and spinal cord. This damage disrupts communication between the brain and the body, leading to symptoms like numbness, weakness, difficulty walking, vision changes, and more. MS can cause permanent nerve damage over time. Symptoms vary by person and depend on the location and severity of the damage. Some people experience long periods without symptoms (remission), while others may lose the ability to move or walk.
