Neutropenia

Neutropenia is a condition where there are lower-than-normal levels of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell crucial for fighting infections. Neutrophils help protect the body from harmful germs like viruses and bacteria. With insufficient neutrophils, the body becomes more vulnerable to infections, and in severe cases, even bacteria that are normally harmless can cause illness.
