Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) is a rare blood disorder characterized by dark, red, or brown urine, typically noticed during nighttime or early morning. This happens due to the immune system breaking down red blood cells, a process called hemolysis. If untreated, PNH can lead to complications such as hemolytic anemia, chronic kidney disease, and blood clots (thrombosis).
