Primary Immunodeficiency Disorder PID

Primary immunodeficiency disorders (PIDs) are conditions that weaken the immune system, making individuals more prone to infections and other health issues. These disorders are typically present from birth, either due to missing or improperly functioning immune defenses. Over 300 types of PIDs have been identified, with some being mild and undetected until adulthood, while others are severe and diagnosed in infants. PIDs are caused by genetic mutations, which are usually inherited but can sometimes occur spontaneously.
