Skin Cancer

Skin cancer is the abnormal growth of skin cells, typically caused by sun exposure. Normally, old skin cells die and are replaced by new ones, but UV light from the sun can disrupt this process, causing cells to grow uncontrollably. Skin cancer can also develop in areas not regularly exposed to sunlight. The three main types of skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma.
