Thyroid Cancer

Thyroid cancer is a condition where abnormal cell growth begins in the thyroid gland, located at the base of the neck. The thyroid regulates vital functions like heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and weight. In its early stages, thyroid cancer may not cause symptoms, but as it progresses, it can lead to neck swelling, voice changes, and difficulty swallowing. There are several types of thyroid cancer, with most growing slowly, though some can be more aggressive.
