Alprolix (coagulation factor IX (Recombinant), Fc fusion protein) is used to control and prevent bleeding in people with hemophilia B (Factor IX deficiency). It replaces missing or low levels of Factor IX, helping to manage bleeding episodes, prevent bleeding during surgery, and reduce the frequency of spontaneous bleeds when used regularly. Alprolix is a recombinant Factor IX product, developed in a laboratory rather than derived from human plasma.
