Cometriq® (cabozantinib)
for Thyroid Cancer
Cometriq (cabozantinib) is a kinase inhibitor used to treat thyroid cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It belongs to the class of tyrosine kinase inhibitors and works by slowing or stopping cancer cell growth. The Cabometyx brand of cabozantinib is used to treat advanced kidney and liver cancer in patients previously treated with sorafenib. Both medications target cancer cell growth by interfering with specific kinase enzymes.
