Crexont® (carbidopa and levodopa)
for Parkinson’s Disease
Crexont (carbidopa and levodopa) is an extended-release capsule used to treat Parkinson's disease symptoms, such as stiffness and tremors, and symptoms caused by carbon monoxide poisoning or manganese intoxication. It combines immediate-release granules and extended-release pellets to improve effectiveness and reduce OFF time. Carbidopa prevents levodopa breakdown, allowing more dopamine to reach the brain, helping manage movement and coordination in Parkinson’s disease.
