Edurant PED® (rilpivirine)
for Human Immunodeficiency Virus

Edurant PED (rilpivirine) is used with other antiretrovirals to treat HIV-1 in treatment-naïve adults and children aged 2 and older, weighing at least 14 kg, with a viral load of 100,000 copies/mL or less. It is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) that blocks HIV-1 reverse transcriptase, an enzyme needed to convert viral RNA into DNA, helping prevent the virus from replicating in the body.
