for Sickle Cell DIsease
Endari (L-glutamine oral powder) is used to reduce the number of painful crises caused by sickle cell disease in both adults and children. Glutamine, a substance naturally produced in the body, helps regulate cell growth and function. Endari helps manage the acute complications of sickle cell disease. In addition to its use for sickle cell disease, it is also used to treat short bowel syndrome when combined with human growth hormone and a specialized diet.
