Gocovri® (amantadine)
for Parkinson’s Disease

Gocovri (amantadine) is used to treat dyskinesia (uncontrolled movements) in Parkinson's disease patients on levodopa or levodopa plus other dopamine-enhancing medications. It is also used with levodopa and carbidopa to manage "off" episodes in Parkinson's patients. Amantadine works by acting like dopamine in the brain, helping to control movements, and it also has antiviral properties by blocking specific proteins needed by viruses to replicate.
