Imlygic® (talimogene laherparepvec)
for Skin Cancer
Imlygic (talimogene laherparepvec) is a cancer treatment that helps trigger the body's immune system to produce an "antitumor" response. It is a genetically modified, weakened form of the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1), the virus that causes cold sores. Imlygic is used to treat melanoma on the skin or in lymph glands. The live, weakened virus infects cancer cells, slowing or stopping their growth, contributing to the body's ability to fight the cancer.
