Inpefa (sotagliflozin) is a once-daily tablet that lowers the risk of cardiovascular death, heart failure hospitalization, and urgent heart failure visits in adults with heart failure, type 2 diabetes, or chronic kidney disease. It works by blocking SGLT2 in the kidneys to promote glucose excretion, lower blood sugar, reduce blood pressure, and support weight loss, while also inhibiting SGLT1 in the small intestine to improve post-meal glucose control.
