Letairis® (ambrisentan)
for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Letairis (ambrisentan) is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in adults. It works by preventing the thickening of blood vessels in the lungs and heart and lowering blood pressure in the lungs, improving heart function. Letairis blocks the effects of endothelin-1, helping to decrease lung blood pressure, slow symptom progression, and improve exercise capacity. This medication helps prevent the worsening of PAH and enhances the ability to exercise.
