levetiracetam
for Seizures (including Epilepsy)

Levetiracetam is used alone or with other medications to treat certain types of seizures in people with epilepsy, including partial onset, myoclonic, and tonic-clonic seizures. It treats myoclonic seizures in individuals aged 12 and older and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in those aged 6 and older. Levetiracetam works by binding to a protein called SV2A in the brain, which helps calm brain activity and reduce the occurrence of seizures.
