Lumryz® (sodium oxybate)
for Narcolepsy
Lumryz (sodium oxybate) is used to treat cataplexy and excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) caused by narcolepsy in patients 7 years and older. It improves deep sleep quality, reducing daytime sleepiness, sleep periods, and cataplexy. Lumryz is a central nervous system depressant that works by activating the GABA-B receptor, increasing time in deeper sleep stages (N2 and N3) and reducing shifts to lighter sleep stages, resulting in better quality sleep.
