Lupkynis® (voclosporin)
for Lupus
Lupkynis (voclosporin) is used with other medicines to treat active lupus nephritis in adults. It is a calcineurin inhibitor that works as an immunosuppressant by blocking calcineurin, an enzyme that activates T-cells involved in inflammation. Though its exact mechanism in lupus nephritis isn't fully understood, it helps reduce immune system activity to protect the kidneys.
