Neupogen® (filgrastim)
for Neutropenia
Neupogen (filgrastim) is used to reduce infection risk in people with non-myeloid cancer receiving chemotherapy that lowers neutrophil counts. It helps increase white blood cells and reduce fever duration in people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) undergoing chemotherapy. Neupogen is used in bone marrow transplants, severe chronic neutropenia, and to prepare for leukapheresis. It also increases survival in those exposed to harmful radiation by boosting neutrophil production.
