Nextstellis® (drospirenone and estetrol tablets)
for Pregnancy Prevention

Nextstellis (drospirenone and estetrol tablets) is an oral contraceptive used by females to prevent pregnancy. It contains two hormones: drospire (a progestin) and estetrol (an estrogen). Nextstellis works by preventing ovulation, stopping the release of eggs from the ovaries. However, it does not protect against HIV or other sexually transmitted infections. Its effectiveness may be reduced in females with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher.
