Onivyde® (irinotecan liposome injection)
for Pancreatic Cancer
Onivyde (irinotecan liposomal) is an injectable chemotherapy used to treat metastatic pancreatic cancer in adults. It is used with oxaliplatin, fluorouracil, and leucovorin as a first-line treatment or with fluorouracil and leucovorin for patients whose disease progressed after gemcitabine therapy. Onivyde contains irinotecan in liposomes, which extend its time in the blood and release the drug at the cancer site, converting it into SN-38, which damages cancer cell DNA and prevents division.
