Plegridy® (peginterferon beta-1a)
for Multiple Sclerosis
Plegridy (peginterferon beta-1a) is used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS), including clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, and active secondary progressive disease in adults aged 18 to 65. Plegridy works by reducing inflammation and altering cytokine balance in the body, which helps decrease the frequency of MS relapse symptoms. While it does not cure MS, it can help manage symptoms by modifying the immune response.
