Pradaxa® (dabigatran etexilate)
for Deep Vein Thrombosis/Pulmonary Embolism
Pradaxa (dabigatran) is an anticoagulant used to prevent stroke and blood clots in people with atrial fibrillation. It also treats and prevents deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), especially in those with a history of these conditions or after hip replacement surgery. Pradaxa works by blocking thrombin, a clotting protein, to help keep blood flowing smoothly.
