Praluent® (alirocumab)
for Myocardial Infarction Prevention

Praluent (alirocumab) is an injectable medicine used in adults with cardiovascular disease or high cholesterol, including inherited types like HeFH and HoFH, to lower LDL-C (“bad” cholesterol). It can be used alone or with other treatments and is also approved for children 8+ with HeFH. Praluent blocks the PCSK9 enzyme, helping the liver remove more LDL from the blood, reducing cholesterol levels and lowering the risk of heart problems.
