Prilosec® (omeprazole)

Prilosec (omeprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production. It is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions caused by excess stomach acid. Prilosec is also used to promote the healing of erosive esophagitis, a condition where stomach acid damages the esophagus.
