Qalsody™ (tofersen)
for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Qalsody (tofersen) is a prescription medication approved by the FDA for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in adults with a specific mutation in the SOD1 gene. It is the first treatment to target a genetic cause of ALS and works by reducing the harmful SOD1 protein, which damages motor neurons and contributes to ALS progression.
