Remodulin® (treprostinil)
for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Remodulin (treprostinil) is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a condition characterized by high blood pressure in the arteries leading from the heart to the lungs. It works by dilating blood vessels and reducing blood clotting, which lowers pulmonary artery pressure. Remodulin improves exercise ability and prevents further worsening of PAH. By relaxing blood vessels and inhibiting muscle cell growth in blood vessels, it reduces strain on the heart and improves blood flow.
