Sutent (sunitinib malate) is a kinase inhibitor used to treat certain advanced or progressive tumors of the stomach, intestines, esophagus, pancreas, and kidneys. It is also prescribed to reduce the risk of kidney cancer recurrence after surgery. Sutent works by blocking tumor growth and inhibiting the formation of new blood vessels within the tumor.
