teriflunomide
for Multiple Sclerosis

Teriflunomide is used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) in adults, including clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, and active secondary progressive disease. While it is not a cure for MS, it works by decreasing certain immune system cells (lymphocytes) that attack the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. This helps reduce relapses and may slow the progression of physical symptoms associated with MS.
