Topamax® (topiramate)
for Seizures (including Epilepsy)

Topamax (topiramate) is an anticonvulsant used to treat seizures in adults and children 2+, including partial-onset, tonic-clonic, and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome-related seizures. It’s also used to prevent migraine headaches in adults and teens 12+. Topamax doesn’t treat active migraines but helps reduce how often they occur. It’s thought to work by calming overactive brain cells and blocking abnormal electrical activity in the brain.
