Tracleer® (bosentan)
for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Tracleer (bosentan) is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in adults and children aged 3 and older. It works by blocking the effects of endothelin-1, a substance that contributes to high blood pressure in the lungs. By inhibiting endothelin-1, Tracleer lowers lung blood pressure, improves exercise capacity, and slows the progression of PAH. This helps prevent the condition from worsening and improves the heart's efficiency in pumping blood.
