Trikafta® (elexacaftor, tezacaftor, and ivacaftor)
for Cystic Fibrosis

Trikafta (elexacaftor, tezacaftor, and ivacaftor) is used to treat cystic fibrosis (CF) in patients aged 2 years and older with at least one F508del mutation or another responsive CFTR mutation. Trikafta enhances CFTR protein function: elexacaftor and tezacaftor help more proteins reach the cell surface, while ivacaftor keeps them open longer, improving chloride flow and thinning mucus.
