Vafseo® (vadadustat)
for Anemia

Vafseo (vadadustat) is an oral medication taken once daily to treat anemia in adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who have been on dialysis for at least three months. It works by inhibiting HIF-prolyl-4-hydroxylases (PH1, PH2, and PH3), stabilizing the HIF complex, and stimulating erythropoietin production. This leads to increased red blood cell production, helping to improve renal anemia.
