Veklury (remdesivir) is an antiviral treatment for COVID-19 used in hospitalized patients and high-risk non-hospitalized individuals with mild-to-moderate illness. It works by inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 RNA polymerase, preventing the virus from replicating and reducing the risk of severe disease, hospitalization, or death.
