Invega Sustenna® (paliperidone palmitate)
for Schizophrenia
Invega Sustenna (paliperidone palmitate) is an extended-release antipsychotic given by intramuscular injection to treat schizophrenia in adults. It is also used alone or with other medications to treat schizoaffective disorder. As a second-generation (atypical) antipsychotic, Invega Sustenna works by balancing brain chemicals, serotonin and dopamine, which affect thoughts and mood, helping manage the symptoms of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.
