Heart Failure HF

Heart failure occurs when the heart muscle can't pump blood effectively, leading to blood backup and fluid buildup in the lungs, causing shortness of breath. This can result from conditions like narrowed arteries and high blood pressure that weaken or stiffen the heart. While the term "heart failure" suggests the heart stops working, it actually means the heart isn't pumping as efficiently as it should, making it harder for the body to get enough oxygen.
