Xofigo® (radium Ra 223 dichloride)
for Prostate Cancer
Xofigo (radium 223 dichloride) is used to treat patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) and symptomatic bone metastases without known visceral metastases. It contains radium 223, which targets cancer in the bones and kills cancer cells by emitting radiation that damages their DNA. Xofigo may help patients live longer, slow bone damage, and delay symptoms like fractures caused by cancer in the bones. It acts like calcium, concentrating in rapidly growing bone areas.
